July 17 - Volunteers Needed for Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ Mobile Resource Bus needs your help!
As a four parish community, we have been given the opportunity to work directly with Catholic Charities to help those in need in the communities of Coffey County.
Catholic Charities will be coming to Burlington on Wednesdays every 6-8 weeks and will provide emergency assistance, food, clothing and other needs through their Mobile Resource Bus to those living in Coffey County.
Beginning in July, Catholic Charities will be using space at the St. Francis Xavier parish hall to serve our brothers and sisters in need and we are looking for volunteers to help with intakes and working with those seeking assistance. Morning and afternoon shifts are available and free training is provided.
Interested in volunteering? Adult Volunteer Training for the Catholic Charities Mobile Resource Bus will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at St. Francis Xavier at 10:30am.
Contact Camille at 913-433-2083 if you plan to attend or have any questions.
We encourage students to volunteer, especially those in Confirmation that need service hours or those High School students that might need National Honor Society service hours. Student volunteers are needed from 9 – 10am, 10am – Noon and 2 – 3pm. Please contact Angela in the office 620-364-5671 if you are a student that would like to volunteer.
Thank you in advance for being involved in this Corporal Work of mercy and becoming the 'living' hands of Christ for those in our community.
God bless you all.
